No Mr Ken - Monday 8th December (PM only)
Mr Ken will not be on duty on the afternoon of Monday 8th December. In his absence, we ask that children are, where possible, escorted over the crossing by their accompanying adult. Please take extra care when crossing the road (and if driving, when commuting and parking) in his absence, helping to keep our children and community safe. |

Christmas Mobiles Homework - Due in Monday 1st December!!Please be reminded that your finished Christmas mobile masterpiece must come in to school on the morning of Monday 1st December at 9am so that it is ready to be displayed in the hall for the start of advent. This is not a compulsory project but is a wonderful Hordle tradition for everyone! Have fun creating! Please ensure all mobiles are labelled and clearly named so that they can be returned at the end of term. Have fun, Team! We are looking forward to a spectacular display in the hall again this year. |

Lower Junior DT Project - Volunteers Needed! As part of the Lower Junior Textiles DT unit, the children will be designing and making their own Christmas decoration. On Thursday 18th December, Team Ash, Oak and Hazel will spend the morning sewing their decoration. For this, we would be very grateful for any parents/guardians who are able to give up their time to help stitch, sew and work with groups. ??? The sewing session will be from 9:00am - 12:30pm but we would be extremely grateful for any time that you can give us during this session. Please note, whilst it would be preferable that you already have a DBS as a classroom volunteer, it is not essential on this occasion. Thank you very much for your continued support. |

A Message from the School CouncilThis week, Team Hordle proudly took part in UK Parliament Week joining thousands of schools across the country in learning more about democracy, representation and how our active voices help shape the future. We explored how Parliament works, took part in activities that encouraged debate and critical thinking and discovered the many ways young people can get involved in our local, and wider, community. It was a great opportunity to celebrate and demonstrate our five British Values! Please check out the links below or head to our school’s Facebook page to discover more…

Administration of Medication If you know that your child will require Calpol on any given day, please ensure that you provide it to the school office and ensure that the morning dose is given before 8am to enable us to administer again at 12 noon. Please can we remind families that any medications, including prescription medications are administered at midday. Please consider this when administering medications before school starts to ensure that sufficient time between doses has been applied. |

|
Christmas Lunch PaymentsIf you have opted for a cooked Christmas lunch on Wednesday 17th December, please can we kindly ask that you make payment if you have not done so already. This will need to be paid via your child's Scopay account and can be found under 'products' in the bottom right corner. Please note, this is applicable for those families who have opted for a cooked lunch, not packed lunch. Christmas lunch slots have now been emailed out to families. |
