Summer Term 1 - Week 5 - Friday 15th May 2026

Staff News

We are sad to advise parents that Mrs Harrison will be leaving Team Hordle at the end of this academic year. Mrs Harrison has been with us since qualifying as a teacher 4 years ago but now is the time to take a pause from education to spend more time with her family.

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Miss Johnstone as a class teacher from September and she is thoroughly excited to join the team and get to know our children and their families.

School Uniform Reminder

Children should wear the following school uniform ONLY:

• Dark grey classic trousers (no leggings), dark grey pinafore dress, dark grey skirt (with pleats), dark grey shorts (required);

• White blouse/shirt or polo shirt (required);

• Navy V neck sweatshirt with school logo (required);

• Navy gingham dress (Summer term only, optional);

• White or grey socks or tights (required);

• Black trainer-style school shoes or black shoes (required)*.

*If your child's school shoes become lost or damaged, can we please remind parents/guardians that Crocs are NOT suitable footwear and are not permitted to be worn at school. Children should wear trainer-style shoes with no open backs for health and safety purposes.

Children should wear the following PE kit ONLY:

• Hordle PE top (required);

• Hordle Hoodie (optional, alternatively plain navy or black warm PE top);

• Navy shorts/navy skort (required);

• Plain navy or black jogging trousers/leggings (required);

• Black trainers (required).

If your child has their ears pierced, we ask that earrings are either removed for PE or that parents/guardians supply their own earring tape. We do not provide tape as a school.

School Uniform Expectations

Please make sure your child arrives ready for the school day dressed in the full school uniform, unless it’s their PE day or they attend a Hub Sports Club - they should then be wearing their Hordle PE kit.

Naming Items

Please ensure all uniform and personal items such as coats, hats, etc are clearly named. Named items that become lost can be returned to their rightful owners and avoid the lost property bin!

Full details on school uniform expectations can be found on our website HERE.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Bikes and Scooters In School

Please can we remind parents that children bringing bikes and scooters into school must dismount and walk them through the school grounds. They should only be stored in the bike shed/park at the far end of the grounds (behind Nest).

Items left on school property are left at your own risk. We recommend providing a lock for security.

Book Donations Required

Our 'Books with Legs' initiative has been so popular amongst the children and so we are very kindly asking for further donations.

If you are able to help, we are looking for book donations, fiction or non fiction, suitable for children from Year 3 - Year 6.

Bag2School Collection - Friday 5th June

Help our school raise funds by donating your unwanted, quality items!

Team PATCH have organised our next Bag2School collection for Friday 5th June.

Bags can be dropped off to the front school car park after school drop off from MIDDAY Thursday 4th June and no later than 9am on Friday 5th June.

Please ensure items are securely placed within a bag (and not overflowing - any bag can be used) and please place the bags under the provided tarpaulin to protect all clothing from the rain. This is extremely important as wet clothes will not be collected and unfortunately, we will be forced to dispose of them

As well as clothing, Bag2School also accepts items such as paired shoes, hats or bags. For a full list on what you are able to donate on this occasion, please click HERE.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support!
