Spring Term 2 - Week 4 - Thursday 19th March 2026

Reminder - INSET Day Tomorrow (Friday 20th March)

Please be reminded that tomorrow, Friday 20th March, is our final INSET day of the academic year. Therefore, both the school and nursery will be closed

We will be back in school as usual on Monday 23rd March for the final week of Spring term.

Parent Forum - Monday 23rd March

We will be running our next Parent Forum on Monday 23rd March at 9:00am in the Acorn Room. We would love to see as many of you there as possible.

To confirm, the parent form to submit discussion topics is now closed and so we will be unable to cover any further topics at this Parent Forum.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Scopay Balances - Important Information

We are currently experiencing high levels of debt across dinner money, Breakfast and After School Club, which is taking a lot of administrative time to follow up and manage.

Please can we politely remind parents that dinner accounts should be kept in credit if your child has school lunches and Breakfast and After School Club bookings should be paid for in advance of taking place.

Please can we ask all families to check Scopay accounts and pay all outstanding balances up to and including 27th March. There is no need to pay for anything for Summer term until after the Easter break.

From Summer term, if debts exceed £10 on your child's account, we may have no option but to refuse bookings at Breakfast and After School clubs, or refuse to provide hot lunches, until accounts are settled.

Weekly emails are sent to advise of any outstanding balances but please can we remind parents that it is your responsibility to check your child's account and update payments accordingly.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty and wish to discuss a payment plan for any costs relating to school, please request a confidential meeting with Mrs Rook, School Business Manager.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Choir, Year 6 Leavers and Class Photos - Thursday 26th March

These will be taking place on Thursday 26th March '26.

Important points to note for photo day:

♦ Children must wear full school uniform. This includes ensuring your child is wearing black shoes or trainers, wearing their school jumper (no school hoodies) and long hair must be tied up.

♦ If your child has PE or is due to attend an event or an after school sports club on this day, please send their PE kit into school with them in a named bag.

♦ The Choir photograph will be taken at 9am prompt - if your child attends this club, please ensure they arrive at school in good time.

♦ Proofs will be sent home with the children as soon as we receive them and ordering and payment will once again be online.

Upcoming Charity Cake Sale - Team Oak!

Team Oak will be holding their charity cake sale on Friday 27th March to raise funds for their class charity, Rainforest Foundation UK. If you are able to provide some sweet treats (nut and sesame free) please take them to the classroom on the morning of the sale.

If you are able to help in selling the cakes please let Miss Culver know.

A message from Team PATCH

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are very grateful for the continued support families show for our PATCH events throughout the year. Activities such as school discos, Mrs Claus' Storytime and other events take a significant amount of planning and organisation by a small team of volunteers and we truly appreciate your help in making them a success for the children.

Unfortunately, we have recently received a high number of order requests after published deadlines. Late requests often mean additional administrative work, last-minute purchasing of resources, extra wrapping of gifts and sometimes the need to reorganise groups or arrangements that have already been finalised.

To help manage this fairly and ensure events run smoothly, we will be introducing a 50p late charge for requests received after the stated deadline. This will apply to items such as disco tickets and similar PATCH activities and events.

We will always continue to send reminders ahead of closing dates to give families plenty of notice. Wherever possible, we will still try to accommodate late requests if timescales allow; however, these will now incur the additional 50p charge.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting the PATCH Team and the events we organise for the children.

Kind regards,
PATCH
