A Christmas Message from Miss Trim
To all Team Hordle families,
Firstly, may I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
As 2025 draws to a close, I would like to take this moment to reflect on one of our values that we have continued to work on this term - resilience.
This term, we once again welcomed new faces to Team Hordle. Starting at a new school is never easy – it takes courage to build new friendships, to settle into routines and flourish in a new environment. Our new joiners have shown such resilience by embracing these challenges with determination and we are so proud to have you as new members of Team Hordle.
Throughout the term, we have seen lots of examples of resilience in action. Year R pupils have learned to refine their mark-making, forming letters and words; children across the school have participated in many sporting events, striving to achieve their best and some of our pupils have shown resilience in personal projects of their own raising money for various causes, including the Oakhaven Santa Dash.
As ever, the staff team at Hordle are literally the BEST. They have worked tirelessly at the end of this term to deliver five nativity performances, a Christmas Carol Service, a flash mob surprise for the children, and they are just finishing plans to serve over 600 Christmas lunches next week – not to mention the nursery team’s wonderful Christmas workshops for families. Their energy and commitment have been nothing short of inspiring!
We must also celebrate the resilience of our new PATCH team, who pulled off an impressive run into Christmas with Secret Santa, wreath workshops, craft sales, Mrs Claus story time, reindeer arrivals, gingerbread house decorating, and so much more. Their creativity and determination to bring such joy for the whole school community is truly impressive.
And of course, resilience is nurtured at home too. To our families, thank you for instilling this value in your children – through reading together, encouraging our children to try new things, supporting them when challenges feel hard, and helping them to understand that growth often comes through perseverance.
So, from all of us here at Hordle, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Miss Trim
