Autumn Term 2 - Week Five - Thursday 4th December 2025

INSET Day - Friday 5th December

Please be reminded that both the school and nursery will be closed tomorrow, Friday 5th December.

We will be back to school, as usual, on Monday 8th December.

We hope you all get to enjoy some festive family fun.

No Mr Ken - Monday 8th December (PM only)

Mr Ken will not be on duty on the afternoon of Monday 8th December. In his absence, we ask that children are, where possible, escorted over the crossing by their accompanying adult.

Please take extra care when crossing the road (and if driving, when commuting and parking) in his absence, helping to keep our children and community safe.

Lost Property

We have seen a recent influx of unnamed jumpers and coats being left on the playground and therefore, ending up in the lost property bin.

If your child has recently lost any items of uniform, coats or other items, please can we ask all families to check the lost property bin (and bench) outside the school hall.

Please can we remind parents that all items must be clearly named so that we can reunite them with their child.

Any remaining lost property at the end of term will be donated to charity or disposed of.

The Panto is Coming Back (Oh, Yes It Is!)

We are very excited to share that Team PATCH have very kindly organised for Year 1 - Year 6 to enjoy “Rick Whittington” the panto on Tuesday 13th January and will be taking place during the school day.

For our FS and Hordle Explorers Nursery children, back by popular demand, Mr Bubbles will be coming in on the same day!

Both of these events are free and are funded by the amazing PATCH.

Thank you so much Team PATCH!

Lower Junior DT Project - Volunteers Needed!

As part of the Lower Junior Textiles DT unit, the children will be designing and making their own Christmas decoration.

On Thursday 18th December, Team Ash, Oak and Hazel will spend the morning sewing their decoration.

For this, we would be very grateful for any parents/guardians who are able to give up their time to help stitch and sew.

The sewing session will be from 9:00am - 12:30pm but we would be extremely grateful for any time that you can give us during this session.

If this is something you are able to help with, we kindly ask that you complete THIS short form.

Please note, whilst it would be preferable that you already have a DBS as a classroom volunteer, it is not essential on this occasion.

Thank you very much for your continued support.

School Games Santa Dash

The countdown is on for one of the most joyful events in the School Games calendar - the National Santa Dash, taking place this year on Friday 12th December.

This is already a Christmas Jumper day but children are also welcome to bring Christmas themed headwear with them on the day should they wish.

This event will be happening during the school day and during your child's daily mile time.

Hub Club End Dates

Please be advised that all Hub and Peri Clubs will be running until Friday 12th December.

There will be no clubs running during the last week of term.
