Autumn Term 1 - Week Seven - Friday 18th October 2024

Inset Day - Monday 4th November

Please be reminded that Monday 4th November is an inset day and therefore, school and nursery will be closed to all pupils.

School Drop Off/Collection

Please do not park or pull up on the yellow zig zag outside school at any time.

Please can we remind parents and carers to be considerate when parking at drop off and pick up times on roads surrounding the school.

Please ensure that you only park on public roads and never block access to someone’s property or create an obstruction to the emergency services.

For those needing to cross the road, to further support Mr Ken in keeping you all safe, please can we ask that all parents use the crossroads to cross, not walk across the road directly outside school.

For parents/guardians wishing to make a complaint regarding any parking offences, please contact our local PCSO here, including photos where possible.

Christmas Mobiles Homework

It's that wonderful time of year where we ask families to prepare a Christmas mobile together, ready to be displayed in our hall for the festive period. We can't wait to see your creations and bring this Hordle tradition to life this year!

Using two hangers, joined and decorated with coloured tape or tinsel, we ask that you and your family create a beautiful Christmas mobile together. The one shown below is just an example, we are sure that you will have many wonderful and creative ideas.

Your finished mobile must come in to school on the morning of Monday 2nd December so that it is ready to be displayed in the hall for the start of advent. We are looking forward to a spectacular display in the hall again this year.

This is not a compulsory project but is a wonderful Hordle tradition for everyone! Have fun creating!

Please ensure all mobiles are clearly named so that they can be returned at the end of term

Have fun, Team!

Hordle Hub Clubs - Collection from Autumn 2

A gentle reminder that after October half term, children will not be allowed to walk home alone after clubs or wait outside the school gates alone, due to the dark evenings and our safeguarding policy.

If required, please ensure your pick up protocol is updated with any adults who have permission to collect from school and after school clubs.

Children must be collected directly from clubs and will not be released without an adult present.

Autumn Learning Reviews - Bookings Closed

A reminder that Learning Reviews for all year groups will take place virtually between Monday 4th November and Thursday 7th November.

The booking system is now closed and for those who did not make their own appointment, an appointment time has manually been booked for you.

Additional Info:

You will receive a reminder of your appointment from SchoolCloud 1 hour before your appointment time (please check your junk if you do not receive it).

Timeslots on the day are managed automatically by the SchoolCloud system and are therefore strictly limited to your allotted time.

At the end of your Learning Review the session will automatically end, this cannot be manually overridden.

Please ensure that you log in giving yourself time to test your camera and audio so that you have the maximum time with your child's teacher.

Bookings are made via SchoolCloud. You will receive a booking confirmation, as well as a subsequent, on the day reminder from SchoolCloud directly.

Please make a note of your child's date/time as we are very restricted with appointment availability, should you miss your review.
