In Maths, the FS children have been exploring the numbers 9 and 10. Using a range of practical resources such as counters, cubes and ten frames, the children have been learning how these numbers can be made in different ways.

The children have been practising breaking a number into smaller parts and putting it back together again. Through this hands-on exploration they are beginning to understand that a number can be made up of different parts that together make the whole.
