Team KS1: Minibeasts and Microhabitats

This week in Science, Key Stage 1 have been very busy learning about minibeasts and their microhabitats. 🐞πŸͺ²

We learnt that a microhabitat is a habitat for extremely small creatures which provides food, water, shelter and air for their survival. We worked in groups to research a microhabitat and then selected appropriate resources to create a suitable habitat for a particular minibeast. We presented our habitat and shared our findings with the class. The children made some fantastic habitats and we would have had some very happy minibeasts, had they been real... 🌿πŸͺ΅
