KS1 had a real treat last week... watching a lesson livestreamed from the British Library of Learning in London to celebrate the launch of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's new book "Gruffalo Granny."

Julia started by reading some of "The Gruffalo" and it was lovely to hear the children joining in with the familiar words. She then read this brilliant new book, which brings back some old favourite characters, together with the new "Gruffalo Granny" star. Axel also demonstrated step-by-step how to draw Gruffalo Granny, while some of the children drew along with him.

Team KS1 really enjoyed sharing this book with the authors themselves and it may even make it onto a few birthday lists! We can't wait for our Julia Donaldson unit coming up later this term...
