Year 5 enjoyed a brilliant “day in the life” experience at Highcliffe School as part of their transition activities. After a warm welcome and a guided tour from the Highcliffe leaders, the children took part in a lively question‑and‑answer session with the assistant headteacher, confidently asking about routines, subjects, clubs and what life is really like in secondary school.

They then headed to Design & Technology where they rolled up their sleeves for a hands‑on workshop making robot keyrings. The session gave them a taste of specialist equipment, creative problem‑solving and the independence expected in KS3. The children were proud of their finished products and left feeling excited about secondary school.
