Ladybirds and Bumblebees thoroughly enjoyed a visit from the Lymington HM Coastguard - Dorset, Hampshire & Isle of Wight as part of the introduction to their new Splish Splash theme. They learnt about how to keep safe at the beach including; staying with their adults, never taking inflatables in the sea, avoiding the cliffs and staying off the rocks. The children also found out that they can phone 999 for beach emergencies, to float on their backs like a starfish if they drift out to sea and how the coastguard team rescue people from the water.
