Parent Forums are held each term and we are always happy to hear your views on any topics for discussion. These could include (and are not limited to) curriculum, school activities, uniform, trips and school events. Important Reminder - Road Closure
Please be aware that due to the ongoing construction of the Everton Road housing development, the section of Everton Road which is currently closed is expected to be ongoing until Sunday 13th July. Please be mindful that this means that Everton Road will be closed for the rest of Summer term.

Meet The Teacher Dates - Week commencing Monday 14th July
We are pleased to announce that we will once again be inviting parents in to school to meet their child’s new class teacher and members of the phase team.
There will be a presentation from the team including topics for the coming year, changes in routine and homework. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Please find the dates and times of the parent meetings below:
Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) - Thursday 17th July at 2.45pm
Lower Juniors (Years 3 & 4) - Wednesday 16th July at 2.45pm
Upper Juniors (Years 5 & 6) - Monday 21st July at 2:45pm
All Meet the Teacher sessions will be held in the Acorn Room.
A copy of the presentation via email will be sent following the meetings which will cover all of the points discussed, for any parents unable to attend.
Children only: We will be holding our 'Teacher Transition Morning' on Friday 11th July, which will be a chance for your child to spend the morning with their new teacher and class Team, in readiness for September. This date is significantly earlier than last year to ensure transition can be as smooth as possible. The teachers have already begun to plan some fun activities for their new classes and are very much looking forward to meeting the children then. Please note, this is for children only.
Children are welcome/encouraged to bring a bible verse, which may be chosen as the class bible verse.

Child Safety Week - Monday 2nd June - Sunday 8th June
This week is Child Accident Protection Trust Child Safety Week. Please click THIS link for useful information on topics including burns, toy safety, choking, safety around dogs, button batteries, preventing poisoning, falls, road safety, water safety, and fire safety.

Clean Air Challenge - Monday 16th June - Friday 20th June
We are taking part in The Clean Air Challenge this term!
By walking, wheeling, scooting or cycling during the challenge week and by joining in with our active travel event / initiative, you’ll be helping to improve air quality and create a healthier environment for everyone. The school will also be in with a chance of winning an air quality kit, scooter gear or a gardening set!

We are also inviting you to have some fun by adding bling to your bikes and sparkle your scooters! At the end of the week, pupils will have their blinged-up modes of transport judged by our Year 5 JRSO’s. They will select the best entries to win a selection of prizes.
We hope lots of our children and families will get involved and look forward to seeing your decorated modes of transport!

Bag2School Collection's 2025
Thank you to all of the families who very kindly donated to the most recent Bag2School collection. We are pleased to announce that on this occasion we have helped Team PATCH - Hordle CE Primary School PTA raise £125, meaning we have raised a total of £529.40 this academic year via Bag2School collections alone.
If you missed this collection, please don't worry! We will be continuing to arrange further collections in the new academic school year.

Calling young brass, percussion and woodwind musicians!
Following the huge success of Mists of Time (90 people participating), Hampshire County Council Music Service are doing another massed performance this term with a different piece on Saturday 12th July.
If your child plays a brass, percussion or woodwind instrument and would like to participate, please email cheri.wallace@hms.hants.gov.uk for the music and backing track.
There will be a morning rehearsal on the day of the concert from 9.30-10am, if they are able to come, or alternatively just come for the concert.
If you would like to attend and watch the performance, there is no need for tickets for the concert, and it is a free event!
