We need you! National Thank a Teacher Day

All the adults at Team Hordle work exceptionally hard! On Wednesday 18th June, it is national 'Thank a Teacher Day'. If you, or your child, would like to take a moment to 'thank a teacher' - or any other adult -  then don't miss the chance to send a quick message HERE.

These really special and very much appreciated messages then arrive on national 'Thank a Teacher Day'. From previous experience, they bring a HUGE smile to team members.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Bag2School Collection - Tuesday 3rd June

We have our next PATCH Bag2School collection on Tuesday 3rd June.

Bags can be dropped off to the front school car park from midday on Monday 2nd June and no later than 9am on Tuesday 3rd June.

This is a great chance a clear out and help the PATCH team raise funds for the school by donating any unwanted, good quality items. You can find a list of what Bag 2 School collects here.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support!

?? Please place the bags under the provided tarpaulin to protect all clothing from the rain. This is extremely important as wet clothes will not be collected and unfortunately we will be forced to dispose of them. This also applies to any bags dropped off after 9am on Tuesday 3rd June. ??

Parent Forum

We will be running our next Parent Forum on Wednesday 4th June at 9am in the Acorn Room.

This is an opportunity to express your views/make suggestions for our Senior Leadership Team on any matters relating to school. This could include (but is not limited to) curriculum, school activities, uniform, trips and school events.

We would love to see as many of you there as possible. In order to prepare for this event, please complete the form on the link below with your suggested topics for discussion:

Parent Forum discussion topics

Please can we ask that questions posed for discussion at the Parent Form are broad in nature and not specifically related to your child. These questions are best answered by your child's class teacher who will be happy to discuss them at a mutually convenient time. Please email them directly in the first instance.

Even if you cannot attend on the day but you wish for a particular subject to be discussed, please complete this form and give us as much information as possible.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Hordle Hub Clubs

Hordle Hub Clubs will return on our first week back after the half term holiday, week commencing 2nd June and run until Thursday 10th July.

We have been awarded the 'Good' Modeshift Award

Modeshift STARS is the national schools awards scheme that has been established to recognise schools that have demonstrated excellence in supporting cycling, walking and other forms of sustainable travel. Due to our ongoing commitment and the support of our families participating, we are proud to have been awarded the 'Good' Modeshift Award.

Hampshire County Council Seatbelt Safety

The Road Safety Team are always shocked to hear how many children don’t always wear their seatbelt, even as young as Year 5 pupils! We would therefore like to reiterate the importance of this to child's safety and how it could save lives.

Please click HERE for a leaflet from Hampshire County Council, providing information about the use of booster seats as well as seatbelts and reminds parents of the seatbelt laws.

Calling young brass, percussion and woodwind musicians!

Following the huge success of Mists of Time (90 people participating), Hampshire County Council Music Service are doing another massed performance this term with a different piece on Saturday 12th July.

If your child plays a brass, percussion or woodwind instrument and would like to participate, please email cheri.wallace@hms.hants.gov.uk for the music and backing track.

There will be a morning rehearsal on the day of the concert from 9.30-10am, if they are able to come, or alternatively just come for the concert.

If you would like to attend and watch the performance, there is no need for tickets for the concert, and it is a free event!

Please find further detail below.
