Year 5 have been working hard on an art unit based around Pablo Picasso's powerful painting: Guernica. Firstly, the children completed an artist study and explored abstract and cubism within art. They then used charcoal and crayons to recreate symbolic pictures to convey an important message of their own choice. 

Themes included: climate change, homelessness, war, death, fortune and inequality.
